If you’ve never been in a group at Grumlaw, Rooted is your first step.
Rooted is an 11-week small group experience designed to help you build relationships, explore faith, and understand the rhythms of following Jesus. It’s a welcoming space for discussion, prayer, and growth—no matter your background.
If you’ve been through Rooted, you’re ready to join a Connect Group.
Connect Groups are ongoing groups of 12–16 people who meet in homes (or virtually) throughout the week. These groups are where community deepens and life is shared as you continue growing in your relationship with God.

Rooted is a catalyst for life-change through discussion in a small group environment, a safe space for biblical exploration, and practical learning experiences. The weekly readings will teach you what it means to be a disciple of Jesus through Scripture, prayer, worship, generosity, and service. For any questions, email [email protected].
As a Church we believe in producing disciples and Rooted is a great starting point to understand the rhythms of following Jesus.

We believe that Rooted is a life-changing experience and we want everyone to participate! We understand that the fee may be a burden for some and we are happy to provide scholarships, if you are in need of a scholarship please email [email protected]
Groups will be meeting all over from Hartland to Grand Blanc, meeting on different days/evenings of the week. You will be able to select your day of the week preference when you sign up.
Attendance is very important to continue to form community. If you are in a season of life that you believe you will miss more than two scheduled group meetings in these 11 weeks. Please reach out to [email protected] before registering. If missing more than two, we may ask you to take Rooted in a different season of life.
You are able to choose your own group! Select the time, location, and group leader that what works best for you.
Rooted is the on-ramp to Connect Groups. Your Rooted Group at the end of the 11 weeks becomes your Connect Group.
After Rooted, your group will become a Connect Group where you will dive into Sunday morning messages and break down scripture.
Rooted leaders get a front-row seat to something remarkable – God transforming lives. Rooted leaders must have graduated from Rooted and agree to our leadership standards. Please fill out this application if you are interested in leading.
